The mediterranean diet can be described as an eating pattern and lifestyle. It's the most well-known longevity diet and lifestyle. Yes, lifestyle. It's always been about so much more than just the food on your plate. Forget about counting calories and strict rules.

The less-known benefits of the diet is to become less frail in old age and a lower risk of cancer. Your kids will thank you.

Forget about bland meals, indulge in a world of juicy, tasty, fresh, wholesome foods...
In a nutshell, the mediterranean diet is:
- Rich in fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grains, olive oil... Fruit and veg are front and center !
- Lean sources of animal protein (chicken, turkey, top sirloin, round steak, greek yoghurt, cottage cheese, salmon/tuna, fish)
- Low in red meat/saturated fats (opt for grass-fed beef),
- It contains little processed foods/refined sugars,
- Moderate in alchohol consumption (hello antioxidant resveratrol!) ,
- Big on families gathering to dine, break bread and sit down together to share a meal.
No rushing...
"It’s not surprising that the diet’s emphasis on whole, plant-based foods could deliver these results. It focuses on foods that have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and we know that’s important for the prevention of disease”
"...And even though it’s not a low-fat diet, it’s also been shown to help people lose weight—even when they weren’t counting calories."
