As human beings it's next to impossible to be in balance and eat perfectly, or to stick to a specific calorie amount. Restriction is likely to push your body and mind in survival mode and make you over-eat.

Science has shown us that:
- Hormones drive your hunger/fullness queues
- Stress increases your hunger hormones
- Lack of sleep increases your hunger hormones
- Sadness and lack of fulfillment are likely to make you eat more
- Exercise will make your body produce less hunger hormones and more happy hormones
- A strong sense of purpose can decrease your appetite
- Being well supported and cared for can decrease your appetite
- Eating a balanced diet is likely to satisfy your hunger the best and curb cravings
- Eating more protein and fiber is likely to satisfy you the best
- Eating foods with a lower Glycemic Index (sugar) is likely to make you eat less, as your blood sugar isn’t continuously peaking and crashing, causing fatigue
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So I’d rather recommend you to focus on loose guidelines and the lifestyle factors that impact your hunger and food choices!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Allowing room for all foods in your diet is likely to keep you happiest and applying a 80% proportion for wholefoods with 20% for more indulgent foods
… and if I may, save sweets and dessert for after dinner as they’re likelier to make you sleepy. Great timing for bedtime!

We have all different DNA that drives our motivation, so it's worth to think about what you're currently over-doing or lacking which is driving you to substitute or comfort with food?
